Help Us Build a Better Place
North Beach PAWS recently launched a multifaceted fundraising campaign to Build a
Better Place, a brand-new, state-of-the-art dog shelter. While we have been able to
increase cat shelter capacity to well over 1,000 felines per year, the shelter has only
been able to service an average of roughly 180 dogs per year for the past seven years.
The new, planned state-of-the-art 3,700-square-foot shelter with 20 kennels will provide
excellent housing relief for dogs and help alleviate community need and demand. We’re
actively seeking to raise a total of $2.5 million to fund the construction of the new facility,
which will be located on the current campus, through grants, corporate giving, and small
business and private donations. Sponsorship of kennels, rooms, and equipment is
available at various donation levels, which includes sponsor recognition. Click here for
North Beach PAWS Participates in National Adoption Weekend
As a Best Friends Network partner, North Beach PAWS participated in Best Friends National Adoption Weekend June 30–July 2. The shelter was open for additional days and hours for adoptions and 13 cats/kittens found their forever homes. According to their website, “Best Friends Animal Society is a leading national animal welfare organization dedicated to ending the killing of dogs and cats in America’s shelters. To help Save Them All, Best Friends works with shelters, rescue groups and our members nationwide.”

We remain 100% volunteer and we’re rescuing hundreds of cats and dogs, getting them spayed and neutered, cared for, and adopted into loving homes every year. We strive to provide excellent veterinary care and continue to offer free spay/neuter programs to those families in need. To accomplish our goals and maintain and improve our shelter we continue to need your financial and volunteer support.
